Joe Oden

Joe Oden

Joe currently serves as the Evangelism Coordinator for the North Texas District of the Assemblies of God. He’s leading a nationwide evangelism director’s network called REACH America, and is also the director of a fully accredited Bible School called Launch School of Ministry that focuses on evangelists and church planters. In addition, Joe authors the Acts 29 School of Evangelism, which is used throughout America to equip, ignite, and mobilize the local church for the great commission.
Joe has served as the Evangelism Instructor at Christ for the Nations Bible Institute, and the Evangelism Director at Heartland World Ministries Church and Heartland School of Ministry, along side of Pastor/Evangelist Steve Hill.

He also authors the Acts 29 School of Evangelism manual, which is being used throughout America to equip, ignite, and mobilize the local church for the great commission.

Over the past decade, Joe Oden Ministries has had the privilege to serve the church and body of Christ as a foreign missionary throughout the world, a missionary evangelist to America and overseas, and in church planting. The nations we have been able to reach are Thailand (where a church was planted and is there still today) India, England, Scotland, Switzerland, Holland, Poland, Mexico, Uganda, and Nigeria. Throughout these nations souls were saved, people were healed, churches were planted, and churches were mobilized to win their cities.
The vision God has given this ministry comes from Ephesians 4:11-12: “It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, some to be pastors and some to be teachers, to prepare God’s people for the works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up.”and Luke 4:18-19: “The Spirit of he Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

This ministry holds to the New Testament mandate that the office of the evangelist must train through practical teaching in evangelism and strategy to mobilize the church to reach their community. Not just head knowledge, but with faith that God will bring about deliverance in people’s lives that are bound. Although it is needed, the call of the evangelist is much more crucial than preaching in churches and witnessing to the lost. An evangelist must also equip the body to operate in evangelism beyond a weekend event. One operation of the evangelist is not of greater value to the church than the other. For example, preaching in a church or crusade is not a greater role than equipping the saints to effectively win souls. They are both equally important. It’s not one or the other; it’s both!
